People in Switzerland often do things for no reason,or, just for "nice".
Yesterday,Wang asked about the big painting on the wall.
The old lady,"yaya, it's good,isn't it."
(People here often said 鴨鴨instead of yes)
"Yes,but why?"
"What why?It's nice!"
Then she walked away.
Several days before,
Alain, a documentary file maker, asked us why we want to go there(a certain place, but not important here).
We said we don't know but it sounds nice.
He said,"you want to go a place just because it exist. It's surely an enough reason to go."
Another example:
Andi built camp fire in their backyard and just let it burn there.
He said," Why not?people make it for BBQ, I built it because It's nice."
No one felt wired when they passed by.
